Education is very important at Park Avenue UMC. It is through education that we grow and mature as Christians. We aim to help children develop and become active and positive members of our church and throughout their lives. We offer a variety of programs to enrich your child’s education.

Sunday School

Sunday school begins during 11 AM worship. Children are asked to join the congregation in the sanctuary and come forward for the Children’s Message. Teachers and staff then escort them to Sunday school. Each child is placed in a grade appropriate group. 

This year, we have started a new class for students ages 11-16. This group weaves together conversations, readings, and activities to explore what it means to be Christian outside of the doors of PAUMC. This is now a weekly space for the young people to ask questions, seek guidance, and grow as a community. They will also be given opportunities to serve as ushers and readers.

Park Avenue Youth Theater

Is your child interested in theater? Enroll them today in our exciting after-school program!

Students will work with professional directors to learn how to develop their own thoughts and perspectives of the world into a piece of original theater.

Age Groups:

Ages 9-12     Thursdays       4:00pm-6:30pm
Ages 13-18    Wednesdays   4:30pm-6:30pm
